The Ravens signed seven players to reserve/future contracts Monday afternoon, the day following their regular-season finale in Cincinnati.
Baltimore opted to hold onto these seven promising youngsters, who will now all have a chance to train with the team during the offseason:
- LB Brennen Beyer
- G Leon Brown
- DE Nordly Capi
- T Blaine Clausell
- WR Chuck Jacobs
- DB Nick Perry
- TE Harold Spears
While none of those players made a big impact in regular-season games, and some spent the entire year on the practice squad, they could develop and contribute more in the future.
On Dec. 30, 2013, the Ravens signed wide receiver Kamar Aiken to a reserve/future contract after he spent half the year on the team's practice squad. On Sunday, Aiken wrapped up a breakout season with 75 catches for 944 yards and five touchdowns.
Beyer, Brown, Clausell and Perry are all undrafted rookies who spent much of the year on Baltimore's practice squad after being originally signed by the Ravens coming out of the draft.
Capi came to Baltimore after bouncing around in Jacksonville, and Chuck Jacobs is a speedy second-year receiver who shined at times in San Francisco. Spears is another undrafted rookie who the Ravens signed to the practice squad about a month ago.
