Three former Ravens – OLB Terrell Suggs, G Marshal Yanda and DT Haloti Ngata – are among the 50 Modern-Era Players that have advanced in the voting process for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2025. This is the first year of eligibility for both Suggs and Yanda.
A Screening Committee reduced the 167-person list of nominees to 50. The full 50-person Hall of Fame Selection Committee will next reduce the list to 25 Semifinalists later this fall. Another vote will create the list of 15 Finalists who will be discussed ahead of Super Bowl LVIX. During the meeting, Finalists will be trimmed from 15 to 10, then to seven. Committee members then will vote for five of the seven Finalists to choose the Class of 2025, which can consist of three, four or five Modern-Era Players.
In 2024, former Ravens Owner Art Modell was named one of nine semifinalists in the Contributor category for the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. A Contributor is defined as an individual who has "made outstanding contributions to professional football in capacities other than playing or coaching."
After trimming an original list of 47 nominees to 25, a nine-person Contributor Blue-Ribbon Committee met in the fall to select nine finalists. The group will meet on Nov. 12 to select one Finalist for the full Selection Committee to consider for possible election with the new class of enshrinees.
