Pierce Limited During Practice
Rookie running back Bernard Pierce was limited during Wednesday's practice, as he continues to deal with a knee injury that hobbled him last week.
However, Pierce told reporters that he is going to play in Sunday's AFC championship game against the Patriots.
"I'm feeling good," he said to The Baltimore Sun. "A lot of people have questioned me about going into the game, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to count my blessings and prepare for it the best I can."
Pierce was limited to five carries for 14 yards last week against the Broncos. At one point, he came over to the sidelines with a noticeable limp.
Pierce has come on strong in the second half of the season and has run for more than 100 yards twice in the last four games. Ray Rice carried the load out in Denver and rushed 30 times for 131 yards and a touchdown.
The other limited participants were running back Anthony Allen (head), wide receiver David Reed (thigh) and offensive lineman Gino Gradkowski (head).
16 Players Listed As Probable
The Ravens are primarily healthy heading into game, and they had 16 players listed as full participants on Wednesday's injury report.
The list includes wide receivers Anquan Boldin (shoulder) and Torrey Smith (back), linebackers Ray Lewis (triceps), Terrell Suggs (achilles/biceps), Dannell Ellerbe (ankle/back) and Albert McClellan (shoulder), cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (abdominal) and Chykie Brown (shoulder), defensive tackles Haloti Ngata (knee), Terrence Cody (ankle) and Arthur Jones (thigh/knee), fullback Vonta Leach (ankle), defensive end Pernell McPhee (shoulder), guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder), and safeties Ed Reed (shoulder) and Bernard Pollard (chest).
Two Players Out, Five Limited For Patriots
The Patriots had five players listed on their injury report, with two of them sitting out practice.
The players missing from practice were tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm) and cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (non-injury).
Gronkowski reportedly re-broke his arm in Sunday's win over the Texans and will require surgery, which will end his season. He won't play this weekend, but the Patriots haven't moved him to injured reserve yet.
The limited participants for the Patriots were cornerback Marquice Cole (finger), defensive ends Chandler Jones (ankle) and Trevor Scott (knee), running back Danny Woodhead (thumb) and offensive lineman Nick McDonald (shoulder).
Chandler, the brother of Ravens defensive lineman Arthur, was hurt in Sunday's game. Arthur said that he expects Chandler to play, but joked that he's urging him to take the day off.
"I really think he's going to be out there," Jones said. "I told him to rest this week."
