The Ravens held their final practice of the season at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Md., Saturday.
It's time to pack up and head to New Orleans.
Head Coach John Harbaugh was pleased with the work the team put in during preparation for its Monday departure.
"We've had a great week," Harbaugh said.
"Our guys are very sharp, and they're excited, and we'll have to get down there and do just as well and do better. We'll have to build on these practices, we'll have to stack good practices to be ready to play a great football team in the San Francisco 49ers."
The Ravens went through their normal practice schedule, except backed up a day. They had full practices on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs said Friday's practice reminded him of training camp.
"We've never been immune to working hard around here," he said. "It's the only way we know how to work. It was pretty fun."
"I thought it was good," center Matt Birk said of the week's practice. "It was good to keep the routine, the focus. … Next week with everything going on you compartmentalize, focus on enjoying it when it's time to enjoy it and work when it's time to go to work."
Harbaugh said one piece of advice that he has relied on is that if you're not getting better, you're getting worse. That still applies at this time of year. Ravens training camp opened in late July, and the team has gone through 24 weeks of practice.
But they can't level off now that they're in the big game.
"You better be improving right up to the last breath you take," Harbaugh said.
"There is an old saying: 'The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.' That is good wisdom right there. And our guys have done that. Our guys are football players. Our guys love ball."
The question is how the Ravens will handle distractions. Not only are there extensive media obligations, but New Orleans' party atmosphere could also be tempting for players.
Harbaugh reiterated on Saturday, before the team heads to the Big Easy, that the focus will be where it needs to be.
"We can do the other stuff anytime," Harbaugh said "But it is not very often that you get an opportunity to prepare for the Super Bowl, and that is what our guys are enjoying."
