The man who greatly helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII won't be celebrating it with his former team this week. Boldin will be practicing with the team he beat.
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin won't be able to attend the Ravens' visit to the White House or its Ring Ceremony this Wednesday and Friday, confirmed Senior Vice President of Public and Community Relations Kevin Byrne.
Boldin, who was traded to the San Francisco 49ers this offseason, will miss the events because he is participating in 49ers Organized Team Activities.
Boldin caught 65 passes for 921 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season. Then he dominated in the playoffs.
In four postseason games, Boldin hauled in 22 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns. He caught six passes for 104 yards against the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, including a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a key third-and-1 pass in the fourth quarter that led to a field goal.
Cornerback Cary Williiams will miss the White House visit because of a mandatory three-day Philadelphia Eagles minicamp, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Safety Bernard Pollard, who was released this offseason, has publicly said he will sit out the Ravens' visit to the White House and Ring Ceremony.
Safety Sean Considine, who is currently a free agent after spending one year in Baltimore, will also miss the events due to family reasons.
