As if it weren't clear already that Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe were perfect fits for the Ravens, their jersey numbers sealed it.
Campbell and Wolfe have been officially assigned No. 93 and No. 95, respectively. They are the same jersey numbers they wore with their previous teams.
Last year, there was a whole to-do over jersey numbers when the Ravens brought in free agent safety Earl Thomas III, who wore No. 29 throughout his career. That jersey belonged to up-and-coming cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey graciously gave up his number to the veteran Pro Bowler and took his father's old NFL number – No. 44. Thomas made a donation to Humphrey's mother's track program to show his appreciation.
This year, there were no conflicts. The No. 93 jersey was previously worn by Chris Wormley, but he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The No. 95 jersey was worn last year by defensive end Zach Sieler, who was claimed off waivers in December by the Miami Dolphins.
Cory Redding is the most prominent former Raven to wear No. 93. Jarret Johnson and Sam Adams are two Ravens legends who donned No. 95.
