The Ravens moved cornerback Maurice Canady from injured reserve (IR) to the 53-man roster Saturday and waived guard/center Hroniss Grasu.
Canady suffered a knee injury Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills and was placed on IR after being inactive Weeks 2 and 3. He had two tackles from scrimmage and two tackles on special teams during the season-opener. Canady's addition to the roster will add to the team's depth on special teams and in the secondary.
It's possible Canady will see action as soon as Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, with slot corner Tavon Young questionable with a groin injury. Canady was a sixth-round pick from Virginia in 2016 and has made two career starts. He's struggled with injuries throughout his career, as this was the third time in three seasons that he was placed on IR.
Grasu had seen action in just three games this season, making one start at left guard against the Carolina Panthers. He was inactive last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Grasu was signed by the Ravens in September after playing his first two NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears.
