It was the Ray Rice and Trent Richardson show Sunday afternoon at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
And they once again nearly mirrored each other in a marquee matchup that fans will likely enjoy for years to come.
Rice ran 25 times for 98 yards and a touchdown. He caught two passes for six yards. Richardson also rushed 25 times and went for 105 yards. He caught six passes for 31 yards.
And as they both said they would, the two runners exchanged jerseys after the Ravens' 25-15 win.
"Just speaking on other running backs, it felt good to trade jerseys with a beast in Trent Richardson," Rice said. "So mutual respect on both ends."
Interestingly, the two running backs also had near identical stats in their first meeting in Week 4.
Rice had 18 carries for 49 yards and eight catches for 47 yards. Richardson had 14 carries for 47 yards and four receptions for 57 yards.
Rice has had more success than Richardson this season, rushing for 47 more yards despite playing one less game. Rice is averaging nearly a yard more per carry. They both have 31 catches with Rice's going for 251 yards and Richardson's for 240.
On Sunday, they both got off to quick starts, but Rice did a better job of finishing.
Richardson started with a 9-yard carry, then quickly popped off his longest gallop of 19 yards. He consistently churned ahead and required multiple Baltimore tacklers.
The Ravens run defense, which has now allowed 100-plus yards to an opposing rusher in three of its last four games, did a better job in the second half against Richardson. They held him to 29 yards on 11 carries.
"He did his thing out there and that's something I knew he was going to do," linebacker Courtney Upshaw said. "I just knew that we had to stop him, and once we started making tackles and stuff like that we kind of slowed him down that way."
Rice was also effective early on, rushing 13 times for 66 yards in the first half. He had 12 carries for only* *32 yards in the second half, but notched two 10-yard runs on the Ravens' decisive fourth-quarter touchdown drive.
"We all knew what was happening, we all felt the change," Rice said of the Browns coming eventually taking the lead. "We had no doubt that we were going to go out there and put a drive together to go ahead and come out ahead."
