At Welcome to the Flock, our team members learn about the Ravens Mission Statement, Common Purpose and Quality Standards. We train that our Quality Standards – Safety, Courtesy, Presentation and Efficiency – are in that order as safety is always #1. We can still be efficient, have great presentation and most off all be courteous to our guest but we need to do this in a safe manner and Ted from S.A.F.E. management does just that.
Ted is stationed in our visiting tunnel on the service level on gameday and has a very important job protecting the access onto the field. Unfortunately, that tunnel has a lot of movement on gameday which could cause some confusion as to who should be getting onto the field or to the Bud Light Touchdown Club. Ted does a great job of exemplifying that you can still be courteous while being safe. Below is the statement that we received as to why Ted should receive the President's Award.
Mr. Ted never fails to make my gameday better. He is typically stationed in the Visitors tunnel, which is where my role requires me to go in and out of multiple times a game. He goes above and beyond when it comes to interactions with fans and other employees. He never complains and truly loves his job! SAFE and the Ravens are so lucky to have him!
