Derrick Martin played his way into the conversation among many NFL teams with his preseason performance at safety after converting from cornerback.
But the Ravens, with their glut of talent in the defensive backfield, couldn't hold him on their roster.
Martin was traded to the Green Bay Packers for offensive lineman Tony Moll on Saturday.
The Ravens needed to add depth on their offensive line, and Moll fits the bill.
Moll, 6-foot-5, 311 pounds, played in 14 games last season, starting five, has been a stalwart backup for the Packers.
Moll adds depth to an offensive tackle corps that lost Joe Reitz when he was cut with the trimming from 75 players to 53.
Now, Moll will couple with Oniel Cousins as the secondary tackles behind Jared Gaither and Michael Oher.
