The injuries continue to pile up for the Ravens, as five starters sat out Wednesday's practice.

Haloti Ngata (shoulder), Ed Reed (shoulder/knee), Pernell McPhee (thigh), Bobbie Williams (ankle) and Marshal Yanda (knee) were all out Wednesday.

Ngata has been dealing with shoulder or knee issues since the Cowboys game in Week 6, and his snaps have been limited the last two games. McPhee hasn't practiced since prior to the Texans' game last month, and he missed Sunday's game because of the thigh injury.

Reed has been dealing with the shoulder issue for most of the season, [comma] but has not missed any game time. It's unknown exactly what the knee injury is, and he did not speak with reporters on Wednesday.

Williams and Yanda suffered their injuries during Sunday's win over the Browns, but Head Coach John Harbaugh said that they had MRIs and the ailments are nothing major. Harbaugh told reporters Monday that Williams and Yanda would likely get some rest during the week.

For the Raiders, they have significant injuries of their own.

Star running back Darren McFadden sat out Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury that knocked him out of last week's game, and his status is in jeopardy for this weekend.

"The great thing for me is that I don't have to make that decision right now," Head Coach Dennis Allen said on a conference call with the Baltimore media. "I am going to let the week play out and see where they are at the end of the week."

Not only is McFadden hurt, but Oakland's backup running back Mike Goodson also missed practice with an ankle injury. His status is up in the air for Sunday's game.

"It's a little bit unpredictable," Harbaugh said about who they have to gameplan against. "We'll probably see as the week goes along, but we're really not worried about it. You just can't be. They are going to run their offense, and whoever they put there at running back is going to run the same plays they are running. They're not going to change their whole offense."

The other noteworthy injury for the Raiders was that starting defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee/hamstring) also missed practice.

In addition to the five Ravens players who missed practice, the Ravens had five others who were limited participants. Wide receivers Jacoby Jones (toe) and David Reed (knee), left tackle Michael Oher (ankle), cornerback Jimmy Smith (abs) and linebacker Josh Bynes (thigh) were all limited.

The full participants included linebackers Terrell Suggs (ankle) and Dannell Ellerbe (finger), safeties Bernard Pollard (chest) and Sean Considine (chest), defensive tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu (knee) and long snapper Morgan Cox (shoulder).
