The Ravens have been snake-bitten by injuries this season, and the trend continued Sunday against Washington.
The Ravens had four starters suffer injuries, and two of them were forced out of the game and unable to return.
Linebacker Jameel McClain went down with a neck injury in the third quarter and right guard Marshal Yanda left with a right ankle injury in the fourth quarter. Both missed the rest of the game after being forced to the sidelines, and their status for next week is unknown at this time.
McClain had X-rays on his neck, which were negative, Head Coach John Harbaugh said after the game. He was replaced by Josh Bynes at inside linebacker.
"That's good news," Harbaugh said of the X-rays.
Yanda was on crutches in the locker room after the game, but did not speak with reporters. Veteran guard Bobbie Williams took Yanda's spot at right guard when he came out of the game.
The other injuries were to running back Ray Rice (hip pointer) and fullback Vonta Leach (ankle), but they were able to play through the injuries and did not miss time. Rice finished the day with 20 carries and 121 rushing yards.
The injuries add to a growing injury report for the Ravens, which also includes starting linebackers Terrell Suggs, Ray Lewis and Dannell Ellerbe and tight end Ed Dickson. Suggs missed Sunday's game with the biceps injury, and Lewis is still on injured reserve with a torn triceps.
Ellerbe (ankle) and Dickson (knee) have missed the last two weeks with injuries.
The Ravens could potentially get Suggs, Lewis, Ellerbe and Dickson back for next Sunday's game against Denver.
