With only two days left of Ravens training camp, the Orioles got in when they could.

Ahead of Wednesday night's game against the Nationals, All-Star shortstop Gunnar Henderson, center fielder Cedric Mullins, closer Craig Kimbrel, and Manager Brandon Hyde came out to practice.

The four watched from the sideline as they spoke to Ravens such as Justin Tucker, Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, and Head Coach John Harbaugh. Then, as practice picked up, they were able to watch just feet away from the action.

"It's really cool, seeing them up close and in person," Henderson said. "Just seeing how big they are because you don't really get to witness that on TV."

For a while, Henderson and his teammates chatted with different Ravens, where both sides got to see how the other operates.

"It's cool kind of seeing their routines, what they do day in and day out, kind of compared to what we do," Henderson said. "... [It's] not every day you get to go out there and just chat it up with some of the best to do it in the NFL."

Even Harbaugh and Hyde had an extended conversation in the early parts of practice.

"We were talking about our teams, really," Harbaugh said. "I kind of had some questions about his team and he had some questions about my team. ... I have so much respect for Brandon – I think he's a great coach – a great skipper. What a job they've done; the team's so exciting. ... It's pretty cool having those guys here."

Henderson is one of the premier players in baseball, making his first All-Star game this season after winning American League Rookie of the Year in 2023.

At 23 years old, Henderson could have an MVP or two in his future, and Wednesday was an opportunity for him to see two-time MVP Lamar Jackson in action.

"It's unreal watching him do his thing," Henderson said. "And now I even have a greater respect just seeing how big all these people are. It's really special what he's doing."
