Injury Report 12/6: Terrell Suggs Returns To Practice, Doesn't Wear Brace

Terrell Suggs was back on the practice field Thursday.

After sitting out Wednesday's practice because of a biceps injury suffered on Sunday, Suggs was a limited participant Thursday.

He is hoping to play through the injury this week, and he told reporters that he is a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Redskins.

"Hopefully, I can play," Suggs said. "I really believe if everything [works] out with how I am feeling, and we do a good job throughout the week, I will be lining up. If not, then I miss the Washington game and hopefully I can be back for the Denver one."

The biceps injury is one that Suggs could possibly play through, and he is currently working with team doctors to determine if playing would risk any further damage. He's also working to determine if wearing a harness or brace on his arm would help protect him.

Suggs was not wearing a brace on his arm when he walked out to practice during the portion open to the media.

"I'm not sure what [a brace] would do to help me," Suggs said. "Like I said, we're just going to try it out [during] the week and see what we can do. That's pretty much the plan. I don't know what the harness would do or not."

While Suggs returned to action, inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (ankle) and tight end Ed Dickson (knee) were both held out for the second straight day. Their status for Sunday's game is up in the air, but the Ravens hope they can get back on the field.

The good news on the injury front was that cornerback Chris Johnson (thigh) was a full participant in practice for the first time since Week 11. If he's healthy enough to play, that could provide a boost to the secondary.

The limited participants on Thursday were cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (abdomen) and Asa Jackson (shoulder), wide receiver Jacoby Jones (ankle) and safety Ed Reed (shoulder).

The full participants were cornerback Chykie Brown (ankle), linebacker Josh Bynes (thigh), safeties James Ihedigbo (calf) and Bernard Pollard (chest), defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh) and fullback Vonta Leach (ankle).
