At Pittsburgh: Played two seasons as backup quarterback for the NCAA I-A Big East contenders...2004: Served as the chief backup to starter Tyler Palko…played in three games…saw brief action vs. Ohio and Nebraska but did not throw a pass…played fourth quarter against South Florida, completing 1 of 4 passes for 11 yards…team went 8-4 and lost to Utah in Fiesta Bowl under head coach Walt Harris, who left following the season…2003: Redshirted as a true freshman and retained freshman eligibility….team went 8-5 under Harris and lost to Virginia in Continental Tire Bowl.

Personal:Joseph Vincent Flacco ("flack-oh")…born January 16, 1985…son of Stephen and Karen Flacco…has four brothers and one sister...accounting major at Delaware...father played football and baseball at the University of Pennsylvania in 1979-83.
