When the Ravens visited the White House in June to be honored as the Super Bowl champions, Pres. Barack Obama wished the team luck in their 2013 campaign.
But he also reminded them of his true football allegiances.
"Best of luck next season – you're going to need it in Week 11 when you go to my hometown of Chicago to play the Bears," Obama said.
During his Monday press conference, Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh was reminded of Obama's comments ahead of this week's trip to Chicago's Soldier Field.
"Thank you for that reminder," Harbaugh joked. "We appreciate the President and the fact that he's a huge football fan and sports fan. I'm sure he'll be watching this game very closely, and we'll do our best to disappoint him."**
Beating the Bears would be big for the Ravens, and would help move them in the direction of backing up Harbaugh's statement to the president at the White House that "we have plans to be back next year."
