If Ray Lewis is going to take the field Sunday for the first time since Week 6, Head Coach John Harbaugh isn't tipping his hand.
During his Monday press conference, Harbaugh wouldn't give any indication about Lewis' status when asked what it would take to activate the future Hall of Famer.
"It will take me activating him on Sunday. That's what it will take." Harbaugh said. "It will take me not putting his name on a piece of paper, the deactives, and you will find out an hour and a half before the game whether or not that takes place."
The Ravens don't plan on making any announcement about Lewis until the last possible moment.
"It's all going to be a gametime decision as far as anybody knows," Harbaugh said. "So that's where we're at. This is the playoffs. We're not talking about injuries. We're not talking about activations."
Last week, Lewis was moved to the 53-man roster from the injured reserve-designated to return list. By getting placed on the active roster, Lewis had to be included on the injury report, and he was a full participant in practice all week.
The 37-year-old linebacker tore his triceps in Week 6 against the Cowboys and he hasn't played since. He returned to practice leading up to the Week 14 game against the Redskins, and said in an interview with BaltimoreRavens.com that he plans to come back this season.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to play [in Week 15] against Denver (first game he was allowed to come off the reserve list)," Lewis said. "But, the docs said, 'No.' As soon as they open the door, I'm walking through it."
Ravens fans hope that door opens Sunday in the wild-card round against the Colts.
