Jonathan Ogden was the first draft pick in Ravens franchise history.
Now he'll have the opportunity to announce an incoming member of the Ravens 2013 draft class.
Ogden will be at the NFL Draft in New York City to announce the second and third-round picks on April 25. The Ravens currently have the 62nd-overall pick in the second round and 94th overall in the third.
Ogden, a 2013 inductee to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was selected as one of 32 legendary NFL alumni to represent each team on Day 2 of the draft.
This is the third time that the NFL has* *used former players to announce Day 2 picks, as Matt Stover was Baltimore's representative last year and Peter Boulware was in 2011.
Being selected to represent the Ravens at the draft is the latest honor for Ogden, who was selected as a first-ballot Hall of Famer back in February. The dominant left tackle will be officially enshrined in Canton later this year during a ceremony in August.
Ogden was the fourth-overall pick in the 1996 draft and he went on to play 12 seasons in Baltimore. He made 11 Pro Bowls during that time and was a key member of the 2000 team that won Super Bowl XXXV.
The 2013 NFL Draft will continue the three-day format introduced in 2010, with the first three rounds broadcast in primetime at 8:00 pm ET on Thursday, April 25 and 6:30 pm ET on Friday, April 26, and concluding with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, April 27 at 12:00 pm ET. The NFL Draft will be broadcast on NFL Network and ESPN/ESPN2.
