Key Training Camp Dates To Watch

The Ravens will officially begin training camp Wednesday when all veterans are required to report to the Under Armour Performance Center.

Reporting is  the start of a critical six-week stretch on the NFL calendar, and there are several key dates before the Ravens open the regular season:

July 30: First full-team practice. * *Launch of "You Pick the Team" contest.

Aug. 1:First padded practice. Teams are only allowed a limited number of padded practices during training camp, and Saturday's session is the first time the Ravens will introduce full contact.

Aug. 3:Open practice at M&T Bank Stadium. The free event begins at 7 p.m., and after practices players will sign autographs for children and the Ravens will hold a fireworks/laser show.  This is the only time fans are able to attend training camp practice unless they won the online lottery to attend practice at the Under Armour Performance Center. This practice is also Military Appreciation Day.

Aug. 4:First off day of training camp.

Aug. 13:Preseason begins with a matchup against the New Orleans Saints at M&T Bank Stadium.

Aug. 19-21:Ravens take training camp on the road to practice with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Aug. 22:Preseason Week 2 vs. the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

Aug. 29:Preseason Week 3 vs. the Redskins at M&T Bank Stadium.

Sept. 1:First cutdown date. Roster trimmed from 90 to 75 players.

Sept. 3:Preseason concludes vs. the Falcons in the Georgia Dome.

Sept 5:Final roster cutdown to 53-man roster.

Sept 13:Regular season begins. Ravens open the season vs. the Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
