OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -Baltimore Ravens nose guard Kelly Gregg will remain sidelined for at least two more weeks with cartilage problems in his surgically repaired left knee, coach John Harbaugh said Friday.
Gregg underwent surgery in August, but wasn't able to play during the preseason or the season opener.
What it amounts to is he's got kind of a hole in his cartilage that rubs bone to bone, and because of that he's actually got a real sensitive spot on his bone,'' Harbaugh said.When he unloads on a block, that's when he feels the pain. It's almost like you've got a scab on your bone, and he tears the scab off.''
Gregg will miss Sunday's game against Cleveland and next week's trip to Pittsburgh. Then, Gregg will be week to week.
``We just have to take it as we go after that point,'' Harbaugh said.
Justin Bannan will continue to start in Gregg's place.
``We're going to miss Kelly,'' defensive tackle Haloti Ngata said.
