Late in Sunday's practice, fans went quiet as safety Kyle Hamilton was slow to get up. The All-Pro eventually got to his feet and walked to the sideline accompanied by members of the medical staff. It appeared he had a lower body injury.
Lamar Jackson, Isaiah Likely, and Head Coach John Harbaugh checked in on Hamilton before he walked into the facility under his own power.
After practice, Harbaugh gave a positive update on Hamilton.
"It looks stable, it looks good," Harbaugh said. "Obviously we'll continue to do some tests tonight and tomorrow to make sure, but first indications are that he's fine."
Sunday was Baltimore's first practice following the preseason opener, and there was a lot of action as the Ravens start their final week of training camp.
Here are some observations from practice:
- Lamar Jackson's deep ball was probably the best it has been all training camp. He delivered on-target passes downfield all throughout practice, including a perfect throw to Zay Flowers in the end zone. Jackson hasn't hesitated to throw the ball downfield during camp, and on Sunday it paid off.
- Third-round outside linebacker Adisa Isaac had his first 11-on-11 action and came up with a sack of Jackson, who was scrambling around to avoid other rushers.
- Early in practice Hamilton had the defense's only interception when Jackson threw a pass intended for Isaiah Likely right into Hamilton's numbers. Inside linebacker Josh Ross almost had an interception a few plays later.
- After a play, Eddie Jackson and newly acquired Anthony Miller embraced on the field. The two played together with the Chicago Bears and looked happy to be reunited.
- Speaking of Miller, he was involved on his first day as a Raven. He was targeted on two deep shots and had a catch later in practice.
- Odafe Oweh sacked Josh Johnson, who had Michael Pierce sprinting toward him as well. Oweh showed off his quickness on the play.
- Likely had at least three plays of 20 or more yards, including a one-handed catch with his left hand that went for a touchdown. Likely has had a monster camp and looks primed for a big season next to Mark Andrews.
- Dayton Wade also caught a few balls after leading the Ravens in catches and receiving yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. He'll be a player to watch in the final two preseason games.
- Jackson was active running again, scrambling away from defenders to extend plays or pick up yardage.
- Two of Jackson's better deep balls went to Nelson Agholor, who dropped them both. After the second drop, Jackson went over to Agholor on the sideline to talk with him and dap him up. Following practice, Jackson got some extra throws in with Agholor and Miller.
