Lamar Jackson will not be participating in the Pro Bowl Games and will be replaced by rookie New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

The AFC's three quarterbacks at the Pro Bowl will now be the Bengals' Joe Burrow, Steelers' Russell Wilson (replacing the Bills' Josh Allen), and Maye.

Jackson was voted to his fourth Pro Bowl this season but hasn't participated since his first one in 2019.

After having his finest season yet, Jackson is the frontrunner to win a third MVP. But another bid at reaching the Super Bowl fell short in the divisional playoffs in Buffalo, sending Jackson into the offseason angry.

"I'm tired of being right there, we need to punch it in," Jackson said. "We need to punch in that ticket. We have to get right in the offseason."

The No. 3-overall pick in last year's draft, Maye had a successful rookie season in New England, throwing for 2,276 yards and 15 touchdowns to 10 interceptions in 12 starts.

Ravens running back Derrick Henry will also not be at the Pro Bowl Games and has been replaced by the Bills' James Cook. Wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) is not participating due to injury and was replaced by Jaguars rookie Brian Thomas Jr.

The Ravens had a league-high nine original Pro Bowlers. As of now, here's who is attending:

  • SS Kyle Hamilton
  • CB Marlon Humphrey
  • C Tyler Linderbaum
  • DT Nnamdi Madubuike
  • FB Patrick Ricard
  • ILB Roquan Smith
  • LT Ronnie Stanley
  • OLB Kyle Van Noy
