LeBron James is regarded by many as the basketball GOAT, and he had high praise for Derrick Henry on Wednesday night.
After Henry watched the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks, James said the Ravens running back is "my favorite player in the National Football League."
Following James' comments, the two linked up postgame.
This isn't the first time James has expressed his affinity for Henry. During a "Thursday Night Football" game when Henry was on the Titans, James talked about why Henry is at the top of his list and how he changed the game.
"For years, they always used to say that running backs that size or that tall couldn't survive," James said on “TNF in The Shop.” "And obviously Eric Dickerson kind of changed that too because he used to run straight up, he changed that. But then King Henry changed it in a whole other fashion because not only is he as tall as Eirc Dickerson, he's built like a linebacker.
"He runs in between the tackles, he can run outside the tackles. And then he gets on the edge, it's either going to be a stiff arm or he's gonna run around you. ... One thing about King Henry is he gets stronger and stronger and stronger as game goes on."
