Ed Reed Fitness Day

On Tuesday (10/5), Ravens S Ed Reed will host a fitness day at The SEED School of Maryland. Celebrity fitness instructor Monte Sanders will assist Reed, additional Ravens players and volunteers, as they lead the participants through a workout routine.

Manchester Elementary Play 60/Project ACES Kickoff Assembly

Ravens LB Jameel McClainwill help Manchester Elementary School kick off the Carroll County Play 60/Project ACES (Active Children Excel in School) program to promote daily exercise and good nutrition. As the special guest at an assembly for children in grades third through fifth, McClain will share the benefits of a healthy lifestyle with the students.

The Baltimore Ravens, Carroll County Public Schools, and The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County have joined forces to host the Play 60 Challenge with Project ACES as part of the nationwide NFL Play 60 campaign. Twenty-six elementary schools throughout Carroll County will participate in the Play 60 Challenge/Project ACES *program, totaling over 14,000 students. The Ravens and local *Challenge partners will encourage elementary school students to engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day for a period of two weeks. Students will track their activity throughout the course of the program with provided daily activity logs.

Two lucky winners, one girl and one boy, will be invited to the Ravens-Buccaneers game on Nov. 28, where they will be recognized on-field prior to kickoff. Three additional students will be chosen to attend a Ravens Play 60 reward luncheon in the spring of 2011, alongside winning students from surrounding Baltimore-area schools taking part in the Play 60 Challenge. Adults are also encouraged to participate in the Challenge, and the Project ACES *school *with the most staff participation will receive a catered luncheon, courtesy of the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens will also award a financial grant to the physical education department of the school with the highest overall participation.

Community Mediation Celebration

Community Mediation will honor the Baltimore Ravens with its Baltimore Peacemaker Award for the Ravens' dedication to reducing violence.* *Ravens LB Brendon Ayanbadejowill be in attendance to accept the award.
