Ravens vs. Browns
Series Record: Ravens lead, 21-7
This one may be more of a rivalry in Cleveland than Baltimore for the same reason the Colts rivalry is bigger in Baltimore than Indianapolis. It's almost always a rough-and-tough, grinding AFC North slugfest, but it's also very one-sided. Baltimore has won the last 10 meetings, and every one during the Head Coach John Harbaugh era.
Ravens vs. Bengals
Series Record: Ravens lead, 19-14
Another divisional foe, but one that has shared more back-and-forth battles over the years. The Bengals won three straight from 2009 through 2011, but Baltimore has now rattled off four victories in a row. Carson Palmer and T.J. Houshmandzadeh used to define this team. Now it's second-year quarterback Andy Dalton* *and wide receiver A.J. Green. The coach of Baltimore's great Super Bowl defense, Marvin Lewis, is the Bengals' tenured head coach.
Ravens vs. ColtsSeries Record:Colts lead, 7-3; (2-0 in postseason)
Mayflower trucks. Anything more that needs to be said? The Colts still lie in the Irsay's possession. For years, the Ravens wouldn't even show the word "Colts" on their scoreboards. It was Indianapolis vs. Ravens. Peyton Manning won six straight against the Ravens, but Baltimore ended that streak last year with him on the sidelines. This is another team with a former Ravens defensive coordinator at the helm in Chuck Pagano.
Ravens vs. Patriots
Series Record: Patriots lead, 6-1 (1-1 in postseason)
These meetings are often injected with plenty of drama. There was the three-point loss in 2007 when the Pats were undefeated. There was an overtime loss in 2010. Worst of all was the loss in the AFC championship last year when a trip to the Super Bowl was literally in Baltimore's hands. Baltimore landed a punch with its 33-14 wild-card win in 2010, and beat the Patriots for the first time in the regular season with a last second, game-winning field goal.
Ravens vs. RedskinsSeries Record: Ravens lead, 3-1
This rivalry is more about smack talk between locals than actual substance. The two teams have faced each other more in the preseason (seven times) than the regular season. Baltimore beat the Skins, 24-10, in their last meeting in 2008. But Washington is Baltimore's closest rival in proximity, and fans living and working amongst each other usually provide good banter. It's a neighbors quarrel.
