Every game day we cover the topic of leadership and what it means to be a leader. Supervisors are reminded of our Leader Behaviors – I am committed to our team and creating excitement for team members & I lead with a positive attitude by motivating, appreciating and empowering team members. The 2 stories you will read below about Jomica are a perfect example of what a true leader is on game day.
Jomica Henry, the supervisor of Gate F, has been my Gate Partner in Crime for the past 3 seasons. We have seen each other glow inside and outside of the stadium. We have supported each other at our dimming moments. The Ravens have pushed the mentality of going the extra mile for our guests. High 5 them or "See you next game!" when we leave. Show a smile, even if you do not mean it and I don't know is not a sufficient answer. We do everything for our guests. I get it, without them, we would not have jobs. This past Sunday, Jomika took this behind the scenes and Kelly was able to capture that moment. Jomika briefs my team because I do not have the time to as I am finishing up with early check-in. She goes over the briefing details, and the what-ifs, also reminding our teams how to do their jobs efficiently. But one thing she allowed us to do was dance. She reminded our teams that we are humans too. Everyone young and old participated in this. Yes, I shook a lil' tail feather too. But we embraced our staff, and this is forgotten here at the stadium.
