2010 Lacrosse Events at M&T Bank Stadium
The collegiate lacrosse season officially starts Saturday, March 6, 2010, when M&T Bank Stadium and Inside Lacrosse host the fourth annual Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic. The 2010 edition will feature three games and some of the sport's perennial powers, such as Johns Hopkins, Princeton, Maryland, Duke, Notre Dame and Loyola.
The second annual Smartlink Day of Rivals will be played on Saturday, April 17. The aptly named Day of Rivals features Army vs. Navy and Johns Hopkins vs. Maryland. This mid-season event brings together the unequaled tradition of these compelling rivalries in the game's best venue.
The NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships return to Baltimore when M&T Bank Stadium hosts the 2010 and 2011 Championships during Memorial Day weekend. The event features championships in Divisions I, II and III. In addition to the championships, the weekend will be full of fan-oriented excitement that includes youth lacrosse clinics, interactive sponsor fan zones, tailgating and hospitality opportunities, and community-oriented initiatives. These activities will take place at the stadium and also incorporate Baltimore's Inner Harbor area.
