Head Coach John Harbaugh
On facing his brother, Jim, and the Chargers:
"[They're] a winning football team, very physical, very tough [and an] extremely well-coached football team – no question about it. [Jim Harbaugh] is one of the best coaches of this generation, no question – I believe that. Even if he weren't my brother, I would say the same thing. We have our work cut out for us."
On the competition between himself and his brother:
"It used to get hot. Back when were younger, it was every day – it was one fight or another. He was reminding me a month ago – I used to be bigger than him most of the time, and he ended up bigger, obviously. ... He had this technique called the 'crab technique' he called it. And he would basically get on his back, and he'd get his hands and his feet up there, and he'd just fend me off with his hands and his feet, and I couldn't get to him."
On the similarities given the connections between the teams:
"The culture, the way things are done, how [the Chargers] play, certainly, [and] the schemes [are] very similar. The schemes are, in a lot of ways not exactly the same, but in a lot of ways mirror images – the people coaching [and] a lot of the guys playing. But with that, it's two different football teams. It's two teams squaring off in a really important game, and that's what it's really going to be about."
S Kyle Hamilton
On playing in a game where two brothers are coaching against each other:
"I've actually talked to Coach 'Harbs' about it a little bit just here and there – like having breakfast or whatever. I think from his perspective, he's done a good job just kind of managing the emotions, and we still have a game to play. But at the same time, I think everybody understands it's kind of historic, and it's cool to be a part of history. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this has happened before other than them playing each other the previous times. It's always cool to see their family and what they've done and what they've done for football and be a part of it. But at the end of the day, we've still got a job to do."
On knowing the Chargers well because of the connections on both rosters:
"I think we're fairly familiar with each other and how each other operates. I think it'll be a good game. I think it's two like-minded teams – hard-nosed, hardworking and people who just love good results and love results. I think it's going to be a fun game."
On playing next to Ar'Darius Washington:
"He's just been super consistent ever since I've been here, and to see him get an opportunity and excel with the opportunity, I think he's not just back there – I think he's back there making plays and doing his job at a high level. [I'm] super happy for him and just thankful I get to play besides somebody like that and have somebody who's as much of a professional as he is [after] maybe not [being] in the position that he wanted to be in at the start of the season."
Jackson, Hamilton & More: Ravens Press Conferences 11/21/24
QB Lamar Jackson, S Kyle Hamilton, S Ar'Darius Washington, and Head Coach John Harbaugh speak with the media.
QB Lamar Jackson
On if he thinks about former Ravens like J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards being on the Chargers:
"Yes, absolutely, man. I know [J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards] are going to try to get after it. Those guys are going to get after it, but I don't have to try to stop those guys, so I'm not worried about it. I'm going to be worried about putting points on the board, but it's going to be great to see those guys. I just don't want them to have good games against us. That's all."
On what's hindering the offense right now:
"Just [not] being consistent. When we're doing things out there on that field, we have to be consistent, and that's what we're chasing. We're not doing a good job of being consistent. We have our moments where we go into the game [and] score on the first drive. Then, there's been a couple of weeks we haven't scored on the first drive, and it's just been taking us a little while to get [into] our groove. We have to work on that; that's the biggest thing for us right now, just being consistent and, like I said earlier, just putting points on the board, because that's our job."
On how he looks back on his time with Greg Roman, who is now the Chargers offensive coordinator:
"It was good. We had a lot of success. I won my first MVP with 'G-Ro' [Greg Roman]'s system. We had a lot of great seasons. I believe it was just short. It was just short; that's all."
TE Mark Andrews
On playing a team with a ton of former Ravens:
"I think it's definitely a unique thing. I think it's a tribute to the culture that we have here, and just the type of organization that we have. We've had a bunch of incredible players and people and personnel that [are] on [the Chargers] and are doing great things, so it's cool."
On if Jim Harbaugh brings some of the same things to the team that John does:
"I think [John & Jim Harbaugh] both get a lot from their dad, Jack [Harbaugh], and that's an incredibly cool and fun dynamic. It's a really special thing, and obviously, there are some similarities, but there are also some differences, and [they are] just definitely two dynamic people and a dynamic family."
Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken
On the two-point conversion against Pittsburgh:
"We didn't execute it at a high level, and obviously, [I] have to call it better. That goes along with every call that I make in the game – we have to execute better, [and] we have to call it better, [and] we have to plan it better. [It's] disappointing. ... I thought Lamar [Jackson] did a great job of trying to at least make a play. It's just disappointing at a critical point like that. What you're paid to do is to execute at a high level, starting with me and then our players."
Henry & Coordinators: Ravens Press Conferences 11/22/24
RB Derrick Henry, Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken, Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr, and Special Teams Coordinator Chris Horton speak with the media.
Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh
On if there's any extra excitement competing against John Harbaugh this week:
"I'm sure my brother looks at it the same way I do, same way my family does. It's about the two teams, and those coaching and those that are playing. I'm sure he doesn't want to make it about him, I don't want to make it about me. It's a big game for sure, and it's two teams having at it."
On if he thought he would ever get a chance to face his brother again:
"Walking off the field at that Super Bowl, it was like, there will be another day. And then there wasn't for many years, and it looked like I wouldn't have a chance for another day. But by the grace of God ... we're back in it and back on a team that has a chance."
On what he admires the most about his brother:
"He puts God first. He's a great example setter. He's great at what he does. One of the most competitive people I know. I've learned so much from him, I admire him. His competitiveness, toughness, it's always in his teams. He always pulls it out of you. Iron sharpens iron, as The Bible would say."
Chargers Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman
On what he learned coaching under John Harbaugh:
"I think you learn from opportunity, and [John Harbaugh] does such a good job of giving young coaches an opportunity to grow, similar to Jim [Harbaugh]. To speak in front of the team, to have ownership of a particular area of the gameplan or whatever. I think you just learn through doing, and he's been doing it a high level for a long time. There's certainly so many things that I take from my time there."
Defensive Coordinator Jesse Minter
On the Ravens offense:
"I don't know if they led the league in rushing [last year], I know they were up there. And then you bring in the bell cow running back (Derrick Henry). Oh, by the way, he's 6-4, 250. So it's just another element to their offense. They have first-round, star players all over their offense. When you look at Lamar, look at all three receivers were first round picks. Derrick Henry. Obviously, the offensive line. [I] was there with Ronie Stanley, some of those guys. It's a talented unit and then it's a very well coached unit that uses all their personnel in various ways. And then they have the most electric quarterback in the history of the National Football League behind center. You can't key in to stop one guy, because so many of the plays can be this guy's going that way, this guy going that way. Oh, then I can throw the ball over your head, too. It's an ultimate challenge, and like I said one we're excited about."
