Malaki Starks was the most popular Ravens draft pick for good reason.

Baltimore selected the playmaking Georgia safety in the first round with pick No. 27, landing their dream player by sitting tight and letting the board fall to them.

The 6-foot-1, 203-pound Starks checks every box. He's athletic, smart, versatile, durable, and was a highly regarded leader in Georgia's defense.

A Day 1 starter in arguably the best defense in the country, Starks had six interceptions and 23 passes defensed over his three seasons. He's a two-time First-Team All-American, lauded for his communication and knowledge.

Adding Starks gives the Ravens a perfect complement to Kyle Hamilton and Ar'Darius Washington and allows Baltimore to move around pieces of its secondary. He can play deep, in the nickel, and everywhere in between.
