The Ravens began their first round of cuts by parting with nine players and placing two others on injured reserve.
Baltimore placed veteran tight end Benjamin Watson (Achilles) and cornerback Kyle Arrington (concussion) on season-ending injured reserve.
Watson suffered the injury in Saturday night's third preseason game versus the Lions. Arrington suffered a concussion in the team's first preseason game against the Panthers. In his second season with the Ravens, Arrington had an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster considering improved depth at cornerback.
The Ravens terminated the contract of vested veteran linebacker Kavell Conner, who they signed just as training camp opened.
They also waived eight other players, including four undrafted rookie free agents:
- G Jarrell Broxton
- DT Trevon Coley
- WR Dobson Collins
- C Anthony Fabiano
- WR Chuck Jacobs
- QB Jerrod Johnson
- LB Mario Ojemudia
- WR Darius White
The Ravens are now down to 79 players. They need to be at 75 players by Tuesday at 4 p.m.
