Brandon Stokley is officially back on the roster.
The Ravens re-signed the veteran wide receiver Tuesday, just three days after cutting him. To make room for Stokley on the 53-man squad, the Ravens cut veteran tight end Billy Bajema.
Stokley and Bajema traded places, as the Ravens cut Stokley over the weekend to create a spot for Bajema before the game against Miami. Stokley has dealt with a groin injury the last two weeks and the Ravens wanted Bajema on the team to face the Dolphins.
"Brandon has a groin/hip flexor issue where he wasn't ready to play," Head Coach John Harbaugh said. "We had to find a way to get Billy back up so we could play Billy, and it was a numbers issue. … It was all health related."
Now they are going back to Stokley, who has been a valuable third-down target for quarterback Joe Flacco when he has played.
Stokley has nine receptions for 79 yards in his first three games.
