The Ravens shuffled their practice squad Tuesday with two additions and subtractions.
Baltimore signed cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste and tight end Gabe Holmes. They're interesting additions.
Jean-Baptiste was a second-round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2014. He was considered one of the best cornerback prospects in the draft. He's 6-foot-3, 220 pounds and played college ball at Nebraska.
He played in four games as a rookie, almost entirely on special teams, but was released by the Saints at the end of the preseason the following year.
Since then, he has bounced to four different teams over the past two-plus years. He spent time with the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks in 2015 and Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars this past offseason. The Jaguars released him from their practice squad on Sept. 12.
Holmes was an undrafted product out of Purdue in 2015. His rookie year was mostly spent on the Oakland Raiders practice squad, then he went on injured reserve for all of 2016 due to a preseason ankle injury.
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound prospect spent some time on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad last month, but was recently released.
The Ravens sent undrafted fullback Ricky Ortiz to practice squad injured reserve and released defensive back Josh Thornton.
