What did you think of the 26,721 fans? (Jamison Hensley)"Is that the number? I thought it was unbelievable. It was an amazing crowd tonight. What did you think of the boards?" (Reporter: "They are pretty big.") "Pretty big. Pretty awesome. The crowd was so into it. What did you think of the dance contest? Kid or Brandon [Williams], who won?" *(Reporter: "The kid.") *"Probably the kid, you're right. *(laughter) *I tell you, I think this is one of my favorite days of the whole year about this job. It is just people getting a chance to come in here. It is free, they can bring their kids. I saw families walking in holding hands with little balloon animals and big smiles on their faces. This, to me, is what it is all about. This is why we do what we do. This is what sports is for – right here. Right here, for families and people to have a night out like this."
How valuable is it for the rookies? Some of these guys come out of colleges where they do not play in big stadiums like this. How valuable is that? Especially ahead of the first preseason game. (Luke Jones)"It is another step for these guys. It is practice, but it is practice in a different kind of an environment. We could never replicate this at our practice fields. To have a crowd … We went live at the end, you saw it for about 15 plays of live scrimmage with our young guys. It was pretty exciting."
How much have you liked what you have seen from WR Tim White? (Jeff Zrebiec)"He has done a good job in camp. Today, I thought had a really good day. He really lit it up a little bit, didn't he? To see a guy jump out like that in this kind of environment was pretty eye-opening. He has had a solid camp up until this point. I would say the same thing about [Taquan] 'Smoke' Mizzell. His nickname is 'Smoke.' He did a really good job, especially at the end there."
Any updates you can give us on TE Crockett Gillmore and CB Maurice Canady? (Jamison Hensley) "They have cartilage tears that are usually not season-ending. But, they are going in and getting opinions on Monday, so we will find out for sure."
How nice was it to have TE Larry Donnell out here and to already be on the field? (Glenn Clark)"It was nice to have [Larry] Donnell out here already as it was definitely a long day of getting indoctrinated into the offense. [Senior offensive assistant/tight ends] coach [Greg] Roman was out there even in the huddle with him a lot of times kind of making sure he knew what to do. But, he did pretty well, didn't he? I thought he stepped up and made some plays, so he looked good out there."
What did you think of that hit by LB Kamalei Correa during the live portion? (Ryan Mink)"The one in the backfield? That was a big play, a fourth-down play. It was good to see. Kamalei has had a very good training camp so far."
