The Ravens are down to three quarterbacks.
Baltimore waived quarterback Nick Stephens on Friday afternoon and signed undrafted rookie outside linebacker D.J. Roberts, who was a tryout at rookie minicamp.
The Ravens signed the 6-foot-3 Stephens to their practice squad last October, and he inked a future-reserve* *contract in late December to keep him on board during the offseason.
The Tarleton State product was getting snaps behind Joe Flacco, Tyrod Taylor and sixth-round rookie draft pick Keith Wenning.
Roberts is a 6-foot-1, 252-pound pass rusher out of Tennessee-Martin, the same school where the Ravens found undrafted rookie wide receiver Jeremy Butler.
Roberts played defensive end in college and exhibited a quick first step and good moves to get to the quarterback. He is also known for having a good motor.
During his senior year, Roberts notched 53 tackles (23 solo), 11 tackles for loss, four sacks and a forced fumble. He logged 12 ½ career sacks.
