The Ravens will have not one, but two rounds of joint training camp practices this summer.
It was already known that Baltimore will host the Los Angeles Rams for two days of joint practices before their Aug. 9 preseason game at M&T Bank Stadium.
On Saturday, Head Coach John Harbaugh announced that the Ravens will also put* *in a couple days of practice (Aug. 17-18) with the Indianapolis Colts before their Monday night game on Aug. 20.
The practices will take place at the Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, Ind.
New Colts Head Coach Frank Reich reached out to Harbaugh with the idea, just as Rams Head Coach Sean McVay did earlier this year.
The Ravens and Colts have a big gap between preseason games from Aug. 9-Aug. 20. That's a lot of time to practice against your own teammates. Baltimore also has a longer training camp overall since it will play in the Aug. 2 Hall of Fame game.
"The way training camp laid out, it looked like it would be good for us to create some breaks in the schedule where we can go against somebody else," Harbaugh said.
"I think it will be good for us to go out there and get a couple days with them before we play. A lot of good restaurants in Indianapolis too [laughs]. I think it will be good for us."
