Ravens fans need not worry about the Madden curse.
Running back Ray Rice and linebacker Ray Lewis were knocked out of the Madden Cover vote after reaching the Sweet 16.
EA Sports selected one current player and one legend from every team to be voted on by the fans to determine who would be the cover star of Madden 25, which is the 25th anniversary of the series.
Fifth-seeded Rice was taken down by top-seeded Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, who garnered 63 percent of the vote. Second-seeded Lewis was upset by third-seeded former Lions running back Barry Sanders, who got 67 percent of the vote.
Lewis had already been on the cover of the video game in 2004.
