The 2019 season kicked off with a bundle of joy for Robert Griffin III.
The Ravens quarterback welcomed a baby girl into the world with his wife, Grete Griffin, on Saturday, the day before Baltimore opens the season in Miami.
Gameya Griffin – the couple's second daughter – was born in the Baltimore area, and Griffin caught a flight late Saturday night to join the team at its hotel before Sunday's game.
"Thank you for being there to help bring our little angel into this world!" Grete wrote on Instagram. "Now go beat the Dolphins today!!!"
Griffin is wearing Grete's hospital bracelet during Sunday's game. According to the bracelet, it appears she checked into the hospital at 6:22 p.m. on Saturday.
