The Ravens agreed to terms Tuesday with wide receiver Ryan Grant, pending a physical.
That physical got in the way of Grant officially signing his reported four-year contract.
Grant failed his physical after he reported to Owings Mills to put pen to paper.
That means the deal is null and void and Grant is once again a free agent available to sign with any team. The agreement was always contingent upon him passing a physical.
Grant failed the physical because of an ankle injury suffered at the end of last season with the Washington Redskins.
The Ravens knew about the injury, but figured it wasn't a big deal becasue he passed his season-ending physical with the Redskins. However, once the Ravens' doctors looked at Grant's injury, they came to a different determination.
