You may have heard that this week the Ravens announced Brandon Carr would be the organization's nominee for this year's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, presented by Nationwide.
There could not be a better pick for this award. Carr truly embodies the spirit of the award.
Another award means another hashtag challenge! The WPMOY Charity Challenge is a way for fans to support their favorite nominee. The nominee receiving the most hashtag votes on Twitter will receive a $25,000 donation to the charity of his choice. The winner will be announced during halftime of the AFC Championship game (which we will hopefully be participating in!). Tweet "#WPMOYChallenge + Carr" to fundraise for the Carr Cares Foundation!
Everyone needs teammates that gas you up like the Ravens defense. They look out for their own.
The season of giving rolls on! Tony Jefferson hosted his annual Shop with a Jock event where he and Ravens teammates took 50 kids from a local Boys and Girls Club Christmas shopping at Walmart.
The Ravens' social justice fund also donated $200,000 for a heating and air conditioning unit at a local elementary school.
In other news, Eric Weddle is going to be very busy in the offseason prepping for the release of the new Marvel movie. That's a LONG movie marathon!
And you know it wouldn't be SociaLight without a cute Ravens kiddo or puppy!
Remember to cast your #ProBowlVote! Social voting ends next Thursday, so go get to tweeting!
