Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti: 'I Want to Win Now'

Owner Steve Bisciotti loves to win and doesn't like to wait.

Joining Head Coach John Harbaugh for an interview at the NFL annual owners meetings, Bisciotti discussed a variety of subjects including his passion to win another Super Bowl.

The Ravens are one the league's most successful franchises and captured their second straight AFC North title in 2024, making the playoffs for the sixth time in seven seasons.

That's consistency, but Bisciotti covets Super Bowls. Twelve seasons have passed since the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII, and waiting longer for another Lombardi Trophy is not in Bisciotti's plans.

"I want to win now," Bisciotti said, responding to a question about what he envisions for the Ravens' franchise 30 years from now. "I want to win with these guys."

The Ravens have one of the NFL's most talented rosters led by Lamar Jackson, a two-time league MVP who is still only 28 years old. Bisciotti's belief that the Ravens are on the cusp of winning a Super Bowl remains unshaken after last season's heartbreaking playoff loss against the Buffalo Bills.

"We've got a window with Lamar," Bisciotti said. "I know what we can do. I know that we worked to put ourselves in position to win. We all get credit for that. That's all you can do.

"I hate it that every year, you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek."

Jackson's desire to win a Super Bowl is well documented, but Bisciotti said that sentiment permeates throughout the organization.

"I don't look at Lamar singularly," Bisciotti said. "I want it for Ronnie Stanley, I want it for Marlon Humphrey. It just doesn't stop with Lamar. I want it for (General Manager) Eric DeCosta.

"I don't like waiting 12 years, yet I'm respectful of the fact that I've got partners (owners) downstairs that still don't have one. Impatience is good for you. I think it's healthy to a degree because you know all of us still feel it."

750: Steve Bisciotti & John Harbaugh Talk Continuity, Lamar Jackson, And Their Desire to Win Another Super Bowl

Ravens Owner Steve Bisciotti, Head Coach John Harbaugh, and President Sashi Brown join team insider Garrett Downing to discuss how continuity has bred success and their shared championship vision, look back on drafting quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Lamar Jackson, provide their outlook on the future of M&T Bank Stadium, and much more.

During the coaches' breakfast at the annual meetings, Harbaugh talked about his approach to helping the Ravens unlock the door that will lead to a championship. They must perform well enough during the 2025 regular season to make the playoffs, then find the elusive formula for playing their best football in the postseason when it matters most.

"We haven't been able to put it together for three or four games to win the Super Bowl championship, and that's the hard thing," Harbaugh said. "That's why only one team does it, so we understand that. That's the way it's set up, but we want to be that team, and we're good enough to do it, so we want to find a way to do it.

"The challenge there – the not simple part of it – is setting everything up in a way that makes those things intent, so that we're intentional about those things every single day. When those moments happen in the biggest moments, it's something that we've been doing all along, and it's normal for us. Then, we have the best chance to have it go our way in those games, and that's what we're really talking about right now as a coaching staff."

Harbaugh is the winningest coach in franchise history and recently agreed to a contract extension through the 2028 season.

Entering their 18th year working together, Bisciotti and Harbaugh share the same vision. They are determined to hoist the Lombardi Trophy again, not someday, but after the 2025 season.

"We're pissed," Bisciotti said.

"Let's get this done," Harbaugh said. "Let's accomplish what we want to accomplish right now."
