Monday Night Raw returned to Baltimore for the first time in two years this week, and Ravens running back Ray Rice wasn't going to miss it.
Rice had a front-row seat, according to The Baltimore Sun.
"There's Ray Rice, the running back who runs over the Cleveland Browns regularly," announcer Michael Cole said as Rice flexed for the TV cameras.
Apparently Rice even met the night's champion, John Cena, after his title match against Ryback. Rice and Cena hugged and high-fived, according to ProWrestlingTorch.com
Why does Rice's fondness for WWE not surprise me one bit?
Rice is probably the biggest kid on the team, and a pure entertainer. He's a total goofball around the facility, clowning on everybody (especially tackle Bryant McKinnie). His post-touchdown flexes have delighted M&T Bank Stadium crowds over the years.
I bet Rice would make a pretty awesome wrestling character too. I already have his post-football career wrestling persona: Mighty Mouse.
A caped Rice would race around the ring stiff-arming his foes, breaking their ankles with his sharp cuts and waiting for his tag-team partner, Anquan Boldin, to unsuspectingly wreck opponents (like Boldin did to San Diego safety Eric Weddle).
I could also see Terrell "Sizzle" Suggs being an awesome character. He already loves to play the villain.
Marshal Yanda would make a great farm boy wrestler, decked out in overalls. McKinnie could be the next Andre the Giant. With the nickname "Doom," Elvis Dumervil is already a natural. Big Haloti Ngata would be a monster, body slamming everyone.
The other big WWE fan on the team is Torrey Smith, who was peeved that he couldn't go to Monday night's event. He told his Twitter followers that his favorite wrestlers are The Rock and Triple H. To me, Torrey would be a good guy with super-natural speed. Maybe next year, Torrey.
