The Caw: Steve Smith Watches Game From Suite After Ejection

Steve Smith Sr. got an early taste of retired life Saturday night.

After being ejected from the Ravens-Redskins third preseason game in the first quarter, Smith made his way up to a suite at M&T Bank Stadium to watch the rest of the game with his family.

This is Smith's last season because he wants to spend more time with his family. Now he's found the best of both worlds. Spent time with the family while playing.

Smith's son, Peyton, tweeted, "1st time I've ever gotten to watch a game with my dad. Thanks @NFL."

Is Steve Smith seriously not the best?

First the guy torches the Redskins with four catches for 95 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown in which he wasn't even touched.

Then, when fellow wide receiver Kamar Aiken gets unnecessarily slammed onto his head by Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson, Smith backed his teammate up. Smith didn't throw any punches in the process either.

Even Smith's timing was perfect. Normally being ejected would be a very bad thing, but his preseason night was probably done, or close to being done, regardless.

Please don't retire, Steve. You make preseason football (and everything) way more fun.
