Ravens safety Tony Jefferson donated $20,000 to a hurricane relief fund started by Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso.
Alonso's father grew up in Puerto Rico and the linebacker currently lives in Miami, so he calls both places "home." Both have been ravaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, with the less developed island of Puerto Rico taking the brunt of the damage.
"While both cities began to rebuild after Irma, Maria has hit Puerto Rico leaving unmeasurable damage," Alonso wrote. "The people are living an unimaginable nightmare."

Alonso's campaign has 445 supporters and has raised more than $112,000. There are hidden amounts that have been donated, but Jefferson's hefty donation is among the most generous.
The other NFL players Alonso named as donors are New York Giants linebacker Keenan Robinson and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews.
Jefferson and Alonso went to high school in California and were both in the 2013 NFL draft, though Jefferson is from the San Diego area while Alonso hails from the San Jose region. They forged a bond over boxing.
"Me and Kiko, we're homies. I used to box. He thinks he's a boxer, " Jefferson joked.
"I saw what he was doing and he needed a little boost to reach his goal, so I did my thing. Obviously, I want to help Puerto Rico however I can. It's a terrible situation over there; they don't have anything. A lot of my friends are Puerto Rican as well. So that was one thing I could do for the moment. I plan on doing more."
