Osemele Officially Ruled Out
The Ravens have officially ruled out left guard Kelechi Osmele from Sunday's matchup in Cleveland because of a back injury that is expected to require season-ending surgery. Osemele initially practiced Wednesday, before sitting out practice Thursday and Friday.
"I think the chances of him playing the rest of this year are probably pretty slim," Harbaugh said. "There's a good chance he's going to get surgery here real soon. I don't want to say for sure 100 percent because I don't know if I'm authorized to say that, but I would anticipate that right now."
With Osemele out, A.Q. Shipley is slated to start at left guard.
Stokley Questionable
Veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley is the one Raven listed as questionable after being limited in practice all week because of a thigh injury. Stokley has not played in a game since Week 3 against the Texans.
The 15-year veteran has been dealing with the injury throughout the season, and he said that the bye week was helpful to recover.
"Anytime that you can have four or five days, or even a whole week, just to let you body rest and try to recover, you have to take advantage of it," Stokley said.
"It's one of those things where you have to push it. You don't really have time to just sit there and rest because you're playing every week. You just have to push through it and hope it gets better quick."
Healthiest the Ravens Have Been All Year
Outside of Osemele and Stokley, every other player appears ready to go for the Ravens on Sunday. The team has five players listed as probable, including linebacker Josh Bynes (finger/thigh), defensive tackle Terrence Cody (knee), offensive lineman Ryan Jensen (foot), right tackle Michael Oher (ankle) and running back Bernard Pierce (thigh).
Bynes missed the Week 7 game after having surgery to clean out an infection in his finger, but he was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday and appears ready to return. Bynes will provide depth at Will linebacker behind Jameel McClain, who was named the starter after returning from a spinal cord contusion.
Cody could also return after missing four straight games with a knee injury.
Pierce has not missed any games, but has been hindered by the hamstring all year. He used the bye week to recover and told reporters that he is the healthiest he has been all season.
"I'm feeling great," Pierce said. "I'm ready to go."
Jensen, a rookie sixth-round pick, could make his season debut after spending the first eight weeks recovering from a foot injury suffered early in training camp.
"I think I'm getting there and getting back into the swing of things," Jensen said. "I feel confident in the offense and my knowledge of it, and everything like that."
Browns Also Healthy
The Browns are also healthy this week, and they do not have any significant injuries.
They have five players listed as probable, including defensive lineman Desmond Bryant (thumb), running backs Willis McGahee (knee) and Chris Ogbonnaya (ribs), defensive back Chris Owens (finger) and linebacker Jabaal Sheard (wrist).
Cleveland also lists linebacker Quentin Groves (ankle) and defensive lineman Billy Winn (quad) as questionable.
