Who's Playing, Who's Not vs. Browns

The short turnaround this week doesn't seem like it will be a hindrance on the Ravens' health.

Baltimore only listed three players on its final injury report for Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Browns, and two are listed as probable.

Tackle Jah Reid (calf), who has yet to play a game this season, is questionable after practicing on a limited basis throughout the week. Cornerback Lardarius Webb (knee) and linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo (knee) were both full practice participants Friday and are probable.

In contrast, the Browns come into the game with more health problems. They have 10 players on their injury report and ruled three out.

Browns Rule Out Starting WR Massaquoi

Cleveland ruled out starting wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi (hamstring), tight end Alex Smith (head), and linebacker James-Michael Johnson (ribs/oblique).

Massaquoi is one of the team's top big-play threats and had nine catches for 145 yards (16.1-yard average) in three games this season. He had five grabs for 90 yards in Week 2.

The Browns could replace Massaquoi with big-bodied rookie Josh Gordon or rookie speedster Travis Benjamin.

Defensive back Ray Ventrone (hand) is questionable for Browns while running back Trent Richardson (knee), wide receiver/return specialist Josh Cribbs (knee), guard Jason Pinkston (ankle), defensive end Frostee Rucker (wrist) and long snapper Christian Yount (shoulder) are all probable.

Webb's Knee Still Lingering

Webb has been listed on the injury report for two weeks with a knee ailment.

He sat out last Wednesday's practice, was limited Thursday and was full-go on Friday. He ended up playing against the Patriots. Webb popped back on the injury report Tuesday, practicing on a limited basis. He was a full participant on Friday.

The Ravens' top corner has not been targeted much by opponents. He has 16 tackles and one forced fumble.

Ayanbadejo Working Through Knee

Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo went to the locker room during Sunday night's game but returned soon after.

He's working through what is listed as a knee injury.

"I should be alright, I should be OK," Ayanbadejo told reporters Tuesday. "That's just part of football. You get dinged. Unfortunately we've got a Thursday night game and you have to work through it."

Reid Getting Closer

Jah Reid returned to practice this week and is nearing his long-awaited return.

Reid re-aggravated a calf injury during the Ravens' second preseason game on Aug. 17 and hadn't practiced since.

He was limited on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but still listed as doubtful just like he was last week heading into the New England game.

"I'm feeling really good out there," Reid said Tuesday. "I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, trying to get my legs back. It's going to take a little bit to get back into football shape."

Reid is still working at guard and tackle, and hopes he can contribute in jumbo packages and compete for a starting spot again like he was before going down with the injury. But Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron suggested that Reid doesn't have a starting job waiting for him when he returns.

"The guys we're playing with right now are playing really well and getting better," Cameron said. "So, we're trying to get that unit to improve first, but we're excited about the future for Jah. We'll see when he comes back."
