Who's Playing, Who's Not vs. Patriots

Marquise Brown (ankle/thigh) has proven that he doesn't have to practice Friday to play well on Sunday.

The rookie wide receiver is listed as questionable and did not practice Friday after working on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday.

However, Head Coach John Harbaugh expects Brown, who has sat out the past two weeks, to play when the Ravens host the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

"Yes, we're just managing that," Harbaugh said. "There's a certain number of reps that we're kind of working through right now with him. So, I do expect him to be out there on Sunday unless something unforeseen happens. You can never be sure, but we'll see how it goes."

Brown had offseason foot surgery that has forced the Ravens to manage his workload. However, being limited in practice has not hurt Brown's production. He didn't practice the Friday before the season opener against the Miami Dolphins, but he exploded for two touchdowns and 147 yards receiving while catching four passes in his NFL debut. The next week, Brown also missed practice on Friday but made eight catches for 86 yards in a victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Jimmy Smith Has Good Week of Practice, Expected to Play

Veteran cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee) is among seven Ravens listed as questionable for Sunday's game. However, Smith was a full participant in Friday's practice and expects to play. Harbaugh said Smith has looked good in practice, showing no sign of rust after missing six straight games due to his injury suffered in Week 1.

"He moved well," Harbaugh said. "Jimmy and I just talked out there at the end of practice. He feels good, moved well. He's going to play, if that's what you're asking, and I expect him to play at a high level."

Backup safety Bennett Jackson (ankle) also missed his second straight day of practice Friday and is questionable. Jackson finally played the first regular season game of his career in Seattle last month after spending most of the past five years on practice squads with the Giants, Ravens and Jets.

Other Ravens listed as questionable are cornerback Maurice Canady (thigh), guard Patrick Mekari (back), inside linebacker Patrick Onwuasor (ankle) and safety Earl Thomas (knee). All were limited participants in Friday's practice, but both Onwuasor and Thomas have said this week that they will play.

Eight Patriots Listed as Questionable

Eight Patriots were limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable, including starting wide receiver Julian Edelman (chest/shoulder), starting tight end Matt LaCosse (knee), starting safety Patrick Chung (heel/chest) and starting right guard Shaq Mason (ankle).

Others who are questionable include running backs James White (toe) and Rex Burkhead (foot); wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (ankle/hamstring) and tight end Ryan Izzo (tight end).
