Monroe Sidelined By Ankle
The Ravens put right tackle Rick Wagner on injured reserve Tuesday. On Wednesday, starting left tackle Eugene Monroe didn't practice.
That means Baltimore could be without both of its starting tackles this Sunday against the Browns.
Monroe injured the ankle in the second half of Sunday's game in Houston and was replaced by undrafted rookie James Hurst, who started four games in place of Monroe from Weeks 4 through 7.
If Monroe isn't able to play Sunday, it's unclear exactly how the Ravens will align their offensive line.
The Ravens could use the same alignment they played with in Houston with Hurst at left tackle, rookie John Urschel at right guard and Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda at right tackle. Baltimore also debated using Urschel at right tackle.
Two More Ravens Veterans Sit
Ravens defensive end Chris Canty (ankle/thigh) and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (back/thigh) also didn't practice on Christmas Eve.
Canty sat out practice all last week due to the ankle injury but still played on Sunday. Suggs has also bounced on and off the list, but hasn't missed a game.
Browns QB Hoyer Not Practicing
Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer did not practice Wednesday due to his shoulder/bicep injury, which is more of an indication that undrafted rookie Conor Shaw could start at M&T Bank Stadium.
Cleveland also signed veteran journeyman Tyler Thigpen. Thigpen hasn't played since 2012 and has bounced between three teams during his six seasons. He has 12 career starts, with the last one coming with the Dolphins in 2010.
Browns starting wide receiver Andrew Hawkins (thumb), starting defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin (ankle) and reserve offensive lineman Ryan Seymour (hamstring) also sat out.
Browns Pro Bowl cornerback Joe Haden appears to be set to return after missing last week's game because of a shoulder injury. He was limited in practice.
