Deonte Thompson is back with the Ravens.
The Ravens signed the third-year receiver to the practice squad Friday after he passed through waivers. This is the fourth transaction the Ravens have made with Thompson within the last week, as the front office has tweaked the final few spots on the 53-man squad.
To make room for Thompson on the practice squad, the Ravens cut defensive lineman A.J. Pataiali'i.
Thompson, 25, has been with the Ravens for the last three years. He initially made the team as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and then he spent all of last season on the active roster. Thompson entered this year's training camp on the roster bubble, but he made the team after a strong preseason where he scored touchdowns in three straight games.
Thompson was a healthy scratch during the first two games of the season. Staying in Baltimore on the team's practice squad makes Thompson a likely option to move to the active roster* *if the Ravens suffer any injuries to their receiving corps.
Thompson has 15 career catches for 147 yards.
