Biography

Entering his third year with the Baltimore Ravens, SASHI BROWN, 48, oversees and manages all business areas of the organization, including finances, legal, budgeting, corporate sales, operations, stadium activities, communications and business ventures. Brown was also appointed by Commissioner Roger Goodell to serve on the NFL's Stadium Committee.

"He's very smart and has good judgement," stated longtime Ravens president Dick Cass, whose role Brown assumed in April 2022. "He's thoughtful, and what you really notice are his people skills, poise and presence."

For the three years (2019-21) prior to his arrival in Baltimore, Brown worked at Monumental Sports & Entertainment, last serving as President of Monumental Basketball (Wizards, Mystics and Go-Go) and as a special advisor to the CEO.

Brown also previously accrued 13 years of NFL experience, including five seasons (2013-17) with the Cleveland Browns, where he served two years (2016-17) as executive vice president of football operations. Prior, he spent eight years (2005-12) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, last serving as senior vice president and general counsel.

In 2015, Brown was named to the Sports Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" list.

He began his career as an attorney at the Washington, D.C.-based law firm WilmerHale.

2022-24: (with Baltimore Ravens)  2024: Spearheaded by Brown, the Ravens announced in April the creation of the Ravens College Access Program, which is supported by $50 million in donations that benefit three organizations (College Bound, Bridges Baltimore & College Track) dedicated to providing access to higher education...The Stephen & Renee Bisciotti Foundation and the Ravens will contribute $30 million to the three college completion programs ($10 million to each), while M&T Bank and College Track will also provide $10 million investments each...In conjunction with this program, the Baltimore Ravens College Track Center is expected to open in the fall of 2025...In March, the Ravens entered a partnership with Levy to become the team's official food, beverage and hospitality (F&B) partner and the exclusive concessionaire at M&T Bank Stadium. 2023: Brown led the months-long planning and December unveiling of "The Next Evolution," a three-year (2024-26) upgrades project to significantly enhance the gameday and year-round fan offerings at M&T Bank Stadium...In addition to substantial developments on the exterior plazas, every level of the venue has undergone (or will undergo) renovations – thus completely transforming the stadium experience for all fans and ensuring that the stadium remains a world-class NFL and entertainment venue well into the future...In November, Brown oversaw the completion of a significant agreement with the Fanatics Retail Group to assume all future M&T Bank Stadium retail operations, along with the continuation of e-commerce business...The new partnership creates an omni-channel experience for Ravens fans that seamlessly integrates online and in-venue shopping...In April, Brown's leadership helped secure a new 15-year strategic partnership extension with M&T Bank, which includes the continued stadium naming rights agreement. 2022: In his first year as president, Brown led the completion of a new stadium lease agreement between the Maryland Stadium Authority and the Ravens, extending the team's commitment to remain in Baltimore and support investment in M&T Bank Stadium through the end of the 2037 NFL season (with two five-year options to extend)...Through funds from state-issued bonds, the lease agreement paved the way for M&T Bank Stadium enhancement projects over the ensuing several years.

2019-21: (with Monumental Sports & Entertainment) In November 2021, Brown was promoted to President of Monumental Basketball and special advisor to the CEO...He oversaw various operations for the Wizards, Mystics and Go-Go, including research & information systems, technology, equipment, communications, finance, facilities, security and player engagement...Originally joined Monumental Basketball as chief planning and operations officer in July 2019.

2013-17: (with Cleveland Browns) Brown was promoted to EVP of football operations in January 2016, leading the development of an organizational vision and strategic plan for rebuilding football operations...He oversaw all football operation functions, including salary cap and contracts, scouting, medical, equipment, video, travel, security, facilities and athletic performance...Originally hired by Cleveland as its executive vice president and general counsel, Brown worked in both football and business capacities...Upon his arrival, he was responsible for overseeing the team's football administration functions and player contract negotiations...On the business side, his duties included commercial contracts, government affairs, risk management, intellectual property issues, litigation and stadium matters.

2005-12: (with Jacksonville Jaguars) Brown spent eight years as Jacksonville's senior vice president and general counsel...He was involved in both football and business operations, which included playing a key role in helping negotiate the naming rights deal for EverBank Field.

2002-05: (with WilmerHale) Brown represented clients in sports-related transactions, venture capital and private equity deals, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

COLLEGE: Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree (mass media) from Hampton University in 1998 and a juris doctorate degree from Harvard Law School in 2002.

PERSONAL: Brown has a longstanding history of civic involvement, having served on the boards of directors for the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Cleveland Development Advisors, Jacksonville Housing Authority, Jacksonville Museum of Science & History and the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation...He is currently on the Board of Trustees at Hampton University and is the Chairman of the Ravens Foundation, Inc....He's also a Board Member at Lafayette Square, an organization that aims to support working-class communities by creating investment and business opportunities...Though born in Boston, Brown mostly grew up in Middletown, CT...While attending Hampton University, he spent time as a radio play-by-play announcer and analyst for the football and basketball teams...He also hosted a radio show focused on jazz music, which he remains passionate about today...He and his wife, Paige, have two sons (Robeson & Ellison) and two daughters (Zora & Ananda).
