Biography
JOE D'ALESSANDRIS (pronounced dell-ah-SAN-dress), a 45-year coaching veteran, had entered his eighth season as Baltimore's offensive line coach. "Joe D" had extensive experience guiding and developing linemen, both in the collegiate ranks and pros. Since transitioning into the NFL in 2008, D'Alessandris had mentored players for the Chiefs, Bills, Chargers and Ravens. Prior to his time in the NFL, he tutored players in the NCAA, Canadian Football League and World League.
- In his seven full seasons in Baltimore, D'Alessandris had mentored several young O-linemen, including Pro Bowlers Tyler Linderbaum, Ronnie Stanley and Orlando Brown Jr., and veterans such as Pro Bowlers Marshal Yanda and Kevin Zeitler.
- In 2023, the Ravens set a single-season franchise record with 26 rushing TDs, eclipsed 100 yards on the ground in all 17 regular season contests and finished with the fifth-highest rushing total (2,661) in team history.
- During the 2021 season, the Ravens tied the all-time record for most consecutive games producing 100-plus rushing yards (43 games – 2018-21) in NFL history (Pittsburgh, 43 games – 1974-77).
- In 2020, the Ravens finished as the NFL's top-rated rushing attack (191.9 ypg) for the second-straight season and registered the third-most rushing yards (3,071) in a 16-game season…Baltimore's 24 rushing TDs ranked third in the NFL and set a new single-season franchise record.
- In 2019, the Ravens set a new NFL single-season rushing record (3,296), besting the 1978 Patriots (3,165)…Baltimore became the first team ever to average 200 passing and 200 rushing yards per game in a season.
